Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and [YOUR FULL LEGAL NAME], an individual based in [YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE] ("we", "us", "our") that govern your use of the Padly app and website (the "Service"). By using Padly, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Padly. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Your account

  • Padly works anonymously by default. You may create an account using Apple, Google, or your email address.
  • Keep your sign-in method secure. You're responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • One account per person. Tell us at support@padly.net if you suspect unauthorized use.

The Service

Padly is a padel score counter with optional cloud sync, a standalone Apple Watch app, and social features such as friends, tagging, and match sharing. Scores and statistics are recorded by users and provided "as is" — we don't guarantee their accuracy, and Padly is not an official scoring authority for any competition or federation.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break any applicable law, or harass, spam, impersonate, or harm others;
  • upload or create unlawful, infringing, hateful, or offensive names, handles, or photos;
  • tag people who don't want to be tagged, or send unwanted invitations;
  • scrape, reverse-engineer, overload, or disrupt the Service, or circumvent rate limits or security measures.

We may remove content or suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

Content you provide

You keep ownership of the content you add — your handle, team names, profile photo, and match data. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service, including showing matches to the people you share them with and rendering any public share pages you create.

You're responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to provide it. Public share links are public — anyone with the link can view that match until you revoke the link.

Adding other players

When you invite someone by email or tag a Padly user in a match, you confirm you have a legitimate reason to include them and that you won't add people who wouldn't expect it. Tagged users may detach the match, block you, or disable tagging, and we apply anti-spam rate limits.

Purchases, subscriptions & ads

  • Padly is free and supported by ads.
  • Padly+ removes ads and is available as a one-time purchase or an auto-renewing monthly subscription.
  • Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms; we use RevenueCat to manage entitlements.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
  • Prices vary by region and may change (with notice for subscriptions).
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies; we generally cannot issue store refunds directly.

Third-party services & app stores

The Service relies on third parties (Apple, Google, Supabase, and others) that have their own terms. The following additional terms apply when you obtained the app from the Apple App Store:

  • These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
  • We grant you a non-transferable license to use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, subject to the App Store Usage Rules.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation; if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price (if any), and Apple has no other warranty obligation.
  • We — not Apple — are responsible for any product-liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and third-party intellectual-property claims relating to the app.
  • You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as "terrorist-supporting", and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties, and you will comply with applicable export laws.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Availability & changes to the Service

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features, and the Service may experience downtime or contain bugs. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that scores and sync are always accurate. This section does not exclude rights that cannot be excluded under the consumer law that applies to you.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or USD 25. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — for example, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for your mandatory consumer rights.

Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law (and except where prohibited for consumers), you agree to indemnify us against third-party claims arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account). We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as content license, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of [YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE], without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you live. Consumers in the EU/EEA may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
